UDL is Australia’s first alcoholic ‘mixer’ in a can.
So the campaign was about ‘mixing things up a bit’.

I love illustration. Should be more of it. Allows exaggeration better than photography. This campaign was for Victoria only – an obsessed footy (AFL) state. Shown in men’s mag titles leading up to the footy finals. We took classic clichés and mixed them up a bit. I drew all of the headlines by hand. Can’t remember why though.

Cover art of Footy Commentary Clichés#34 titled 'And the Big Men Fly' featuring caricatures of two men with exaggerated facial features, dressed in business attire, on a building rooftop with a helicopter grill in the middle. A seagull is flying above, and a UDL Scotch Cola can is at the bottom right corner. The caption reads 'Mix things up a bit during the footy finals'.
Cartoon depiction of a theatrical stage with a performer hanging upside down, juggling balls, and surrounded by quirky characters, with an audience watching. A can of UDL vodka lemon lime drink is on a table in the foreground.
Cartoon illustration of a humorous football commentary scene. A man stands in front of a washing machine with running water, wearing a diaper and a confused expression with eyes popping out. A woman enters through a door with a surprised look, holding a mirror. A small boy with a diaper and astronaut helmet is on the floor, lying on a basket. An orange beer can labeled "UDL Vodka Orange" is on a green table with a cricket pitch graphic. The scene features exaggerated expressions and text reading "That is one of the strongest marks of the season" and "Mix things up a bit during the footy finals."
